Chapter 1 (Number and Operations)
Topic 1 : INTEGER
What is an Integer?
An integer is a type of whole number that can either be positive, negative, or zero. It does not have any fractions or decimals. Positive integers include numbers like 1, 2, and 3, while negative integers include numbers like -1, -2, and -3. Zero is also considered an integer.
For example, the numbers 5, -10, and 0 are all integers. However, numbers like 1.5 or 3/4 are not integers because they have fractional or decimal parts. So, integers are basically numbers that you can count or measure without needing to break them into smaller parts like fractions.
